Gratitude Goes On
Gratitude Goes On
November is just beginning and a grateful heart never has to end! I loved spending the last month focusing on and reading everyone’s gratitude posts. From the little things to the big things, and the many things in between, there’s an abundance of things for us to be grateful for each and every day, no matter how simple.
I hope as we move into the final month of this year, we don’t stop counting our blessings just because Thanksgiving has passed. Waking up with, living with, and sustaining a grateful heart can be challenging but is achievable by all and oh so worth it! When I focus on all I have and not what’s lacking, especially this year, it brings calm and joy to my day and my life overall.
A heart that’s full with gratitude overflows, creating an abundance mindset leading to practicing how to live from a place of generosity. For me, the first step is always gratitude which is quickly followed by generosity. It’s a place where I focus on all that I have which leads me to wanting to share with others.
Through COVID and spending more time at home I’ve found myself slowing down and noticing the smaller, beautiful moments I have to be grateful for. I love my early morning walks as the sun rises and my late evening walks under the moonlight. As I walk, I think about how I can share the calm and joy I feel. I often ask myself, “What can I give from my heart that’s so full?” Through that question, I ‘m able to determine what I can share and teach with others in my life that day and how I’ll serve them.
During this holiday season, I encourage you to choose someone to show your gratitude for through service to them or a donation to an organization in honor of them. There are so many people in our lives who are in need at this time. I believe showing them your gratitude will help fill their hearts, too!

Turning Ideas into Reality
Turning Ideas into Reality
Are you someone who’s full of ideas? Sometimes, when I begin coaching a new person in transition, they have hundreds, if not thousands of ideas which is always so exciting! I love helping them document all the things they want to do, could do, and think they should do. Once the list is created, we then start narrowing it down.
As I work with clients to narrow their lists down, we not only narrow them down to what they could do, but more importantly, what they would love to do and why it’s important to them. From there, we work to select their top ten most important ideas, followed by their top three, until finally we identify the top idea they want to explore.
We then work together to break down the components of the idea into a step by step, week by week plan to keep positive momentum going. Whether an idea is set professionally or personally, it still needs to be taken one step at a time and given great care.
I’ve always been a big dreamer, and over time I’ve learned that without an action plan and accountability, very little will be accomplished. Without a proper road map, some people may never see their idea in action because they get caught in the dreaming stage.
It’s important to me that I work with clients to make a plan, help them share that plan with others in their lives, then start coaching them through the plan to see them turn their idea into reality. One of my greatest joys as a coach is watching my clients achieve what they set out to do while walking alongside them to offer support.
This week, I encourage you to act on an idea you’ve long held in your mind! Take time for yourself to write that idea down, create a list of the steps you need to take to get there, and then break them down further by adding the who, what, how, and why to each step. From there, it’s time to start seeing your ideas as reality by taking the first step!
What does living your exceptional life look like to you?
Do you write your ideas down? Where do they go from there?
Do your ideas stay in your head and turn into daydreams?
What do you imagine building or creating? How would it help your life?

From Hate to Hope
Staying Hopeful can be a challenge but it helps me focus on what is possible rather that what is happening, How do you stay in Hope?
From Hate to Hope
Two little letters are all it takes to change us from hate to hope. It seems some people are more likely to get stuck on hate and what someone has done to them in the past, or what someone hasn’t done for them. In order to move forward from hate to hope they must first grow their vision and belief that the future can be better than the past or the present have been.
Hope speaks to us differently and reminds us that even if we’re feeling stuck or constantly working through hard things, that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. While it may be a blinding light at times or a candle flame at others, the light of hope is always there in some form if we’re willing to believe.
Life will be hard for all of us during different seasons, some of which may last much longer than others. When you encounter these seasons, I implore you to think like a victor, not a victim. Practice directing your thoughts toward hope, positivity, and the belief that something better is coming next in your life.
When I’m facing tough times, I focus on eliminating my excuses to help lead me to hope! Sure, there are always going to be details that are out of our control but there are going to be just as many that we can control if we’re willing to do the work and see the change through.
With everything going on in the world recently, I think it’s vital for us to look to the future together with a vision of hope and how we can all play our part in creating positive solutions. When I think of the words hate and hope, there’s just two tiny letters that make the difference. It can’t be that hard to move the AT to an OP, can it?
This week, as you encounter your next challenge, I encourage you to choose hope instead of hate. By making the conscious effort to choose hope versus hate in smaller aspects of our daily lives, we will have the ability to enhance our vision of the future and how we can make a difference as our newfound hope continues to spill over into even larger buckets!
What does living your exceptional life look like to you?
How do you practice hope and looking toward a positive future?
Was there a time in life where having hope changed the situation? How?
Are you more likely to show up with hate or hope? Why?
